In their own words

Even hard topics became clear, because we went through not only how it's done correctly, but why it's done that way, where and in what context to use it. Thanks to that I gradually started to feel the language, not just memorise rules.
Zarina · Preparing for IELTS
After the move I couldn't make myself understood at work, even though I'm a qualified specialist in my field. We started from zero, from the verb to be, with no attempt to skip ahead. Now I talk to customers without freezing up.
Zhenya · Level A2, relocated abroad
Once we closed off grammar, the focus moved to English for work. Alim doesn't hand you a textbook, he takes my actual emails and meetings and builds the lesson around them. After the move to Dubai that was exactly what I needed.
Diana · Level B2-C1, business English
My English was fine, but I sounded stiff on calls. Now my recordings get broken down phrase by phrase: I can see where I said something unnatural and how it should have sounded. No teacher had given me that before.
Aisulu · Level B2, works at an international company
I needed everyday spoken English, not the formal kind. We covered conditionals, passive voice and gerunds, but always through speaking. Homework is checked instantly, so I show up to the lesson already knowing what I got wrong.
Aidar · Level B1, conversational English
I'm in year nine and preparing for IELTS. Speaking helps most: you record an answer and then see it written out with every mistake explained. Words from the lesson drop into my vocabulary bank on their own.
Amina · Level B2, preparing for IELTS
We agreed not to rush and to finish each topic properly. We spent three lessons in a row on conditionals, and now I actually use them instead of trying to recall the rule.
Aigerim · Level A2-B1, learning at her own pace
I came in at A2 and didn't believe I'd reach a fluent level. I got to C1. At the courses I'd been to before, I was moved along with the group. Here the programme was built around me.
Amina · From A2 to C1
I studied with Alim before the portal even existed, and everything was already properly structured back then. Not one lesson was guesswork: always matched to my level and to why I needed English.
Diana · Studied before the portal existed
I'd been going to group courses, where the topic is pitched at the middle of the room rather than at you. Here the lesson starts from wherever I'm actually getting confused. The difference showed from day one.
Adil · Moved over from group courses
Speaking was what scared me most: I knew the rules but went quiet in an actual conversation. Alim moved us into talking almost immediately and didn't let me sit it out. A couple of months in, the fear was gone.
Zhanel · Conversational English
We prepared for an interview at an international company. Not abstract topics, but my actual questions: experience, projects, salary. One course was enough, and I got the offer.
Daniyar · Interview at an international company
I had started learning English about four times and quit every time. This was the first time I finished a course: the progress is visible, and there's someone to ask why I got it wrong again.
Nurdaulet · Had started and quit several times
We started with the simple tenses and drilled them until they were automatic before moving on. Now I don't assemble a sentence in my head piece by piece, I just talk.
Mussa · Level B1, conversational English
I need English for stand-ups and writing in tickets. Alim rebuilt the lessons around that instead of a textbook chapter about travelling. I run the calls myself now.
Zhanali · English for working in tech
I thought it was too late to start at my age, and I was embarrassed by mistakes. Alim doesn't let you dwell on it: he corrects you, explains, and moves on. By the end of the course the fear was gone.
Alfiya · Came back after a long break
My negotiations with suppliers used to go through an interpreter. We worked on my actual emails and calls. Now I handle them myself and I understand exactly what I've agreed to.
Talgat · Negotiating with overseas suppliers
I had an exam date and not much time. Alim told me straight away what we could cover and what we couldn't, and didn't promise more than that. I scored 7.0.
Timur · IELTS 7.0
I was preparing for IELTS and Speaking and Writing scared me most. We went through each of my own answers rather than generic templates. I ended up with 7.5.
Nadya · IELTS 7.5
I was stuck at the level where you understand everything but only speak in simple phrases. One course moved me to where I can hold my own at work.
Zhalgas · From B1 to B2-C1 in one course
I came to work on my speaking and stayed far longer than planned. Alim explains things so the rule settles in straight away instead of being memorised. And he holds you to it, which is what I needed.
Daniel · Conversational English

You pay for what happens between the lessons

The lesson is the hour we spend together. The rest is your portal, your homework checked while you still remember writing it, and your recordings broken down before we next meet. One price covers all of it, and the more lessons you take the less each one costs. Minimum of 5 lessons, the rest is up to you.

  • A programme built around your goals, not a fixed syllabus
  • Your own portal: exercises, vocabulary bank, progress
  • Homework checked between lessons
  • Books and materials right inside the portal
  • IELTS preparation, if that is your goal
  • You reach your tutor, not a manager

The first lesson is a paid trial at 10,000 ₸, deducted from your package if you continue. It is a full lesson, not a sales call: we assess your real level through actual work, and you leave with your portal already set up.

Lessons run 60 minutes. You choose the pace: once a week to move steadily, or more often if you have an exam date. Places are limited, I teach every student myself.

Questions

Common questions

How much do lessons cost?

There are three packages, and the more lessons you take the less each one costs: 5 lessons for 60,000 KZT (12,000 per lesson), 8 lessons for 88,000 KZT (11,000 per lesson), or 13 lessons for 125,000 KZT (9,600 per lesson). The minimum is 5 lessons. Every package includes the same thing: the lessons plus everything between them, which means the student portal, exercises with instant checking, your vocabulary bank, reading materials, progress tracking, and your tutor reachable directly rather than through a manager. The first lesson is a paid trial at 10,000 KZT, and if we continue it is deducted from the package.

How does the trial lesson work?

It is a full lesson, not a sales call. We assess your real level through actual work, and you leave with access to your own portal already set up. It costs 10,000 KZT, and if we decide to continue that amount comes off whichever package you choose, so a 13-lesson package works out at 115,000 instead of 125,000.

Why does this cost more than a group school or a tutor from a classifieds ad?

Individual lessons with a local teacher at language schools in Almaty run 6,000-8,500 KZT per lesson, but that is a shared curriculum with no portal between lessons. Lessons with a native speaker cost more, typically 16,000-22,000 KZT per lesson. Here a lesson costs 9,600-12,000 KZT depending on the package: more than a group school because the program is built around you specifically, and less than a native speaker because that is not what moves the needle for conversational English or IELTS. The price covers homework review between lessons, the student portal, and your vocabulary bank, not just the lesson itself.

Why pay for this when language apps are free?

An app cannot hear you speak. It can check that you picked the right option out of four, but it cannot notice that you said "I have five years experience" instead of "five years of experience", and it cannot tell you why that sounds wrong to a native ear. Apps are genuinely good for vocabulary and for keeping a daily habit, and I have no problem with you using one alongside. But the level where people understand you at work, or where an examiner gives you a 7, is built by speaking and having someone take that speech apart.

How many lessons before I see a result?

It depends on where you start and how much you do between lessons, and anyone who gives you a number without asking those two things is selling. As a working guide: a 13-lesson package is about three months at one lesson a week, and that is usually enough to move one level, or to prepare for IELTS if the grammar base is already there. Going from nothing to fluent takes years, and I will tell you that before you pay rather than after.

Do you prepare students for IELTS?

Yes, and it is the most common request. Your tutor scored IELTS Academic 8.0, so preparation is built around what the exam actually rewards rather than generic exercises. Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening are all covered, with written work checked between lessons.

Are lessons online or in person?

Lessons are online over Google Meet, which means schedule flexibility and no travel time. The student portal makes online work as structured as in person: everything covered in the lesson stays in one place instead of scattered notes.

Why are places limited?

Because quality is the first thing that breaks when a tutor takes on too many students. The number of places is capped deliberately so every student gets lessons built around them rather than a shared programme.

What level do I need to start?

Any level, from beginner to advanced. What matters more than your starting point is having a clear goal and being willing to do work between lessons. If we are not a good fit for your goal, you will be told honestly rather than sold a package.

You can check this in one lesson instead of three months

The most common advice in reviews of language schools is not to pay for a big package up front. It is good advice. So the trial here is a full lesson, not a sales call: you work, you get your portal, and you see how it actually runs. Continue and the 10,000 comes off your package. Don't, and you owe nothing further.
